Sun, sand, and the tropics. Adam Dunning's original uplifting and captivating Bossa Nova tunes have wooed audiences around the world from Japan to Turkey, and right here in his home city of Melbourne.

After a successful first 2020 show at Hawthorn's LIDO, Adam brings his renown Bossa Nova originals, his surf jazz, and reversioned Bossa standards to the new Manhattan-esque Classic Southside venue in Elsternwick - a beautiful addition to the Elsternwick Classic Cinema. He'll also preview some of new songs from his soon to be released album, "The Return".

Bringing his compositions to life with Brazilian bass from Jorge Albuquerque, and the playful drums of Scott Hay, it's a perfect night for you and friends to enjoy the good life, done to music, from a great Australian contemporary songwriter, vocalist, and guitarist.

With the release of Adam's third album The Return only months away, Adam Dunning comes to the intimate Lido Jazz Room for a night of his classic Bossa originals, along with his re-versioned trademark Bossa standards and his very own 'surf jazz' rhythm.

With a unique voice heard worldwide, Adam has written and recorded with the Bossa Nova founders in Rio de Janeiro (Joao Donato, Roberto Menescal, Carlos Lyra), and played internationally from Japan to Turkey as well as Melbourne's own International Jazz Festival.

Bringing his compositions to life with Brazilian bass from Jorge Albuquerque and the innovative drums of Scott Hay, a night with Australia's own Bossa Nova composer, vocalist, and guitarist will be sure to take you somewhere else.

After years of working with bands from Africa to the Middle East and honing his reggae, ska and mento expertise, Nicky has drawn on his musical journeys and philosophies to produce his first ever solo work, Planet Juice. This collection captures songs that have been sitting in the bag for years to new tunes – freshly squeezed.

His new work sees him getting back to his roots; spending more time on the drum kit on top of a kaleidoscope of other instruments including the ukulele, marimba and guitar.

Like Adam, with a passion for culture and people, Nicky has travelled extensively, immersing himself in the music and culture of places such as Ethiopia, Morocco, Jamaica, Europe and his birthplace Malta. Consequently, the music produced by this peace-lovin’ troubadour is a melting pot of fun, adventure and exotic sounds of the people and places he loves.

He has written and recorded with the great Bossa Nova pioneers in Rio including Roberto Menescal and Joao Donato, Brazilian stars, and responsible for the "Gallipoli" song performing it across Turkey for the 100th ANZAC anniversary.

Accompanied by the magic of the Joe Ruberto Quartet these two charming performers bring you fun, warmth, and their unmistakable rapport in a snug night of romantic love songs.

Ensembles, quartets and big bands, featuring seasoned musicians and songsters with their eclectic array of styles and forms all come into play at the 23rd Inverloch Jazz Festival. Jazz will emanate from Inverloch's halls, cafes, parks and random street corners.
